iphone - Google Maps in iOS6 -

coming back to this Google Maps support on iOS 6.

This is a serious and constructive issue that should be addressed to many app developers, who have already released their applications on iOS 5 and linked to legal compliance with Google's Terms of Service Has happened.

The fact is: Applications using the Google Maps API web services are prohibited from using the service in any application that does not display any Google Maps related to the display of information on Google Maps.

An application is available for download by some developers on the App Store, users have downloaded it and are using it. When users update their phones with iOS 6, Apple Maps will appear in place of Google Maps, which suddenly breaks Google license rules.

This application becomes Google's "real" license stand point, thousands of users will use an app that has become illegal and I can not think technically in order to stop it.

How can we deal with this matter?

  • Can Google bear enough of this kind of old app to bear?
  • Developers can update their app before Google's release of iOS 6.
  • Can the Apple still provide an option to gap Google Maps until they provide similar web services?

Any creative ideas are welcome?

PS I also post those questions on Google and Apple.

Good question!

(And for potentially close voters: The fact is that the apple will make its mapping public)

I had suggested that you file a radar with Apple, and that For your queries as a duplicate

Maybe will be.

Whether Google is preparing for its own mangitit API, which we can use on iOS, may be available on the iOS release, so developers can update their app before IOS6 Continue?

Very probably but I suspect it will be ready to update your app before your iOS 6 release.

Does the applet still provide an option to display Google Maps unless their similar web services?

I do not think so, I do not think they want, and I think their licensing agreement with Google will end in the future.
